Here is a yearling Midget Faded Rattlesnake (Crotalus oreganus concolor) scent trailing an Eastern Fence Lizard (Sceloporus undulatus) that it just killed. I did not pose this though my intrusion did interupt the snake. After capturing the snake for processing, I placed the dead lizard in the same container and the snake quickly ate it while briefly in captivity, Sweetwater County, WY 2010.
